A prominent member of the Midwest Hospitals Campaign is calling for a ‘crisis management team’ to be established at University Hospital Limerick.
Senior members of management within the UL Hospitals Group are to come before the Oireachtas Health Committee next month to address concerns raised in a damning HIQA report on the facility.
Health inspectors stated hospital management had made ‘inadequate efforts’ to address the issue of overcrowding in the department, compromising confidentiality and safety.
