The Banner County has experienced a 25% spike in the number of adults living in emergency accommodation within the past year, with 85 recorded as homeless in November compared to just 68 in the same month in 2023.
A report from the Parliamentary Budget Office earlier this year recommended that Clare County Council boost its social housing stock by 58% to keep in line with housing need.
