Midwest Health Specialist Raises Concern About ‘Faulty Facts’ On Vaccination On Social Media

A specialist in public health medicine in the Midwest is expressing concerns that parents are holding off on vaccinating their children due to ‘faulty facts’ on social media.

It’s after a Royal Irish Academy report suggested some parents were still listening to false claims made about MMR vaccines two decades ago.

Experts are now to begin circulating a paper on vaccines in order to debunk misinformation being circulated online.

Dr Rose Fitzgerald, who’s a Specialist in Public Health Medicine with Public Health Midwest, believes people shouldn’t be afraid to ask medical experts their views on vaccination issues.
