MidWest Climate Activist Claims Young People Can Have Real Influence On World Events

A Mid-West climate activist believes youth should not be seen as a barrier when it comes to campaigning on important issues.

Saoirse Exton, who’s yet to celebrate her eighteenth birthday, has recently been appointed as Western Europe’s representative on the UN’s Climate Advisory Panel.

Global temperatures recorded in March were the second highest ever documented on Earth, despite a recent international commitment at COP 27 to limit global warming to an increase of 1.5 degrees celsius per annum.

Saoirse says her new position shows the real impact young people can have on influencing change.
