The business communities of Ennis, Shannon and Limerick have united to call on the government to speed up the separation of Shannon Airport from the DAA.

The three chambers of commerce have called on the coalition to announce the separation of Shannon from the DAA, calling it a ‘critical and urgent first step’ for the Airport.
Government-appointed steering groups are currently continuing their work towards establishing Clare’s international airport as an autonomous body, but local businesses say Shannon is in a state of ‘limbo’.
Shannon Chamber President Damien Gleeson says a whole summer season could be lost if action is not taken quickly.
