Met Éireann Says Status Red May Be Issued Ahead Of Storm Eunice

Met Eireann says a Status Red wind warning may be issued for tomorrow, as Storm Eunice arrives in Ireland.

The storm is expected to arrive early in the morning, with a possibility of mass power outages and coastal flooding, while snowfall is expected in some parts.

It’s the second storm in a number of days, after Storm Dudley passed over the north of the country yesterday.

A Status Orange Wind Warning is currently in place for Clare, the rest of Munster, as well as Galway, while a yellow alert for wind, rain and snow covers the rest of the country.

Forecaster with Met Eireann Gerry Murphy say winds may be more severe than previously expected:

People are advised to check the Met Eireann website for updates and avoid coastal areas overnight and tomorrow.
