Met Eireann Says “Some Hope” Of Summer Sunshine In Clare Next Month

Met Éireann says there’s some hope of summer sunshine in Clare next month.

This month is on track to become the wettest July since 2009, as the weather pattern is forecast to remain unsettled over the coming weeks.

It’s in stark contrast to parts of Europe, where a second heatwave is sweeping across the continent, with Spain, Italy and Greece among the worst effected.

The current recorded high was 48.8 degrees in Sicily 2 years ago and that’s expected to be matched or exceeded in some areas on the continent.

Met Éireann forecaster, Michelle Dillon, from Tullycrine in West Clare says, however, we seem to be stuck in a pattern of low pressure here that’s set to continue out until at least the end of July.
