A mid level orange weather alert has been issued for Clare.
Met Eireann is forecasting very cold conditions overnight tonight, with temperatures dipping to as low as minus 6 degrees in some places.
The warning covers Munster, Connaught, Leinster, Donegal, Monahan and Cavan.
