An Ennis care facility has been criticised by the state's mental health watchdog for failing to provide proper care plans for patients.
An unannounced inspection of Cappahard Lodge, located on the Tulla Road, was carried out in October last year after an earlier visit in July found deficiencies in the plans.
In the follow-up inspection, the Mental Health Commission inspected the Individual Care Plans of its 28 residents, and found "no evidence" that a multi-disciplinary team had an input in reviewing some of the documents.
In one, a need related to psychological distress was identified, but there was no plan for intervention, and Cappahard Lodge was found to be in breach of regulations.
