East Clare’s slice of War of Independence history is to be commemorated this Easter Sunday.
The East Clare Memorial Committee will hold its annual remembrance in Tuamgraney Memorial Park after 9:30am mass tomorrow morning.
A wreath will be laid in memory of the old East Clare IRA Brigade and Cumann na mBan, while following the 11am mass, a short ceremony will be held at the grave of the Scarriff Martyrs, in memory of those who died.
