A member of the New York Fire Department on 9/11 says he vividly remembers the sound of the North Tower collapsing.

It comes as today marks the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks, when members of the Al-Qaeda group instructed by Osama bin Laden hijacked four planes on the 11th of September, 2001.

2,977 people lost their lives during the attacks which led to the collapse of both World Trade Centre towers in New York, the partial collapse of the West side of the Pentagon Building and the fourth plane crashing and killing all on board in a field in Pennsylvania.
