Bord Iascaigh Mhara has submittted an application for the large scale operation about four miles off the coast of Doolin.

It would accomodate 15 thousand tonnes of salmon each year and generate hundreds of jobs.

However local fishermen and Inland Fisheries Ireland have raised concerns over its impact on Wild Salmon.

Tonight’s meeting in The Village Hall in Ballyvaughan at 8 o’clock will hear the views of representatives from both sides of the debate.
