Medical Media Award For Clare FM’s Morning Focus

Clare FM has won another major national radio award for raising health awareness and highlighting medical matters.

The station’s flagship current affairs programme – Morning Focus with John Cooke, was awarded a GSK Irish Medical Media Award at a ceremony in Dublin last night, for a feature in which three Clare women spoke out about their experience of ovarian cancer.

It’s Clare FM’s second year in a row to win this prestigious prize which recognises excellence in health related journalism, and other big winners on the night included RTE and The Irish Times.

Accepting the Irish Medical Media Award in the Radio Category, Clare FM’s Head of News & Current Affairs, John Cooke paid tribute to those who have spoken to him, to inform others about cancer.
