A pilot scheme has been established for the provision of Meals on Wheels in North Clare.
The scheme is in partnership with Obair Newmarket-on-Fergus, which has been providing Meals on Wheels since 2010, with funding secured from the HSE, Clare Local Development Company, Clare County Council and the Department of Rural and Community Affairs.

An event will take place in the Pavilion in Lisdoonvarna tonight with a viw to launching the pilot scheme in Lisdoonvarna and Kilkee, establishing a local steering committee and working towards expanding the programme across the entire county.
Lisdoonvarna Fine Gael Councillor Joe Garrihy says the programme will be of most benefit to those living in isolation.
