Clare's Labour TD says he expects people on the county's housing waiting list to see benefits from the government's new social housing strategy within months.

35,000 properties will be built or renovated nationwide at a cost of €3.8 billion.
The Environment Minister says this will create 29,000 jobs, and clear housing waiting lists by 2020.
His party colleague, Deputy Michael McNamara, expects that works here will begin soon.
