Clare’s Labour TD says he believes the government is correct not to allow increased levels of abortion in Ireland, despite admitting many in his party would like to see that to happen.

The Protection of Life During Pregnancy Bill allows for a woman to receive a termination if her life is in danger, but this has not been extended to other instances such as when a fatal foetal abnormality is detected.
