A Clare Sinn Féin Dáil hopeful has hit out at the county’s Independent TD for abstaining on the no confidence motion in the Housing Minister.

Sinn Féin’s motion failed to pass last night, with Fine Gael rallying behind Minister Eoghan Murphy and Fianna Fáil refusing to vote.

Cllr McKee, who is one of two Clare Sinn Féin representatives hoping to run in the next General Election, says it’s unacceptable.

Deputy Harty says Sinn Féin’s motion was “vexatious” and had no chance of passing through the Dáil.

He also feels he expressed his unhappiness with the government by abstaining.
