The Ennis-based cave diver who took part in the rescue of 12 boys and their coach from a flooded cave in Thailand is to be honoured in his home town tonight.
Jim Warny is being honoured by Clare County Council as part of a Mayoral reception at which special achievements are being recognised.

Also receiving honours tonight are Naomi Carroll from Cratloe, who has been part of the Irish women’s hockey squad that reached this year’s World Cup Final, and European Under-14 showjumping champion Rhys Williams from Ennis.
