The Cathaoirleach of Clare County Council is welcoming news that the majority of Clare’s Munster hurling championship games in 2024 will be available on free to air television.
GAA GO has unveiled its pay-per-view schedule for next year, with Clare’s trip to Pairc ui Chaoimh on Sunday April 28th being the only one of the Banner’s four round robin fixtures behind the paywall.
In 2023, three of Clare’s four games were only available on the subscription service, prompting a motion from a cohort of Clare county councillors calling for this to be addressed.
Former Chair of Clare GAA and Fine Gael Councillor Joe Cooney says while it is a welcome step, more work needs to be done to keep as many games as possible available free to air.
