The Mayor of Clare is confident the new Chief Executive of Clare County Council will have the county “at heart” and will work to boost housing delivery as well wastewater infrastructure provision.
It comes as Tuamgraney native Gordon Daly has been nominated by the Public Appointments Committee to head up the local authority after the role was vacated by Pat Dowling at the end of last year.
Daly was Clare County Council’s Senior Planner from 2009 to 2015 and is currently the Deputy Director General of Limerick City and County Council.
