The Mayor of Clare says Kilkishen needs to be one of the county’s top priorities when it comes to wastewater infrastructure.
Fine Gael Councillor Joe Cooney has called on Uisce Éireann to assess the suitability of the East Clare village for a wastewater treatment plant.

The utility’s wastewater treatment capacity register indicates that Kilkishen, which has a population of 651 according to Census 2022, has the available capacity for such a facility.
Bodyke Councillor Cooney says he’s hopeful the right infrastructure is in place at present to make Kilkishen a viable location for such a development.
