Mayor Of Clare Insists Transport Minister Won’t Succeed In Pouring Cold Water On Northern Distributor Road

The Mayor of Clare is determined the Transport Minister won’t succeed in pouring cold water on the Northern Distributor Road project in the long-term.

It follows Minister Eamon Ryan’s insistence that the road intended to link South East Clare to North Limerick has ‘no prospect’ of future Government funding.

Approximately 19 million euro has been spent on the first phase of the project from Coonagh to Knockalisheen, however the second phase of the key infrastructure has been excluded from the Limerick Shannon Metropolitan Area Transport Strategy.
