The Mayor of Clare says a new report which shows that Clare County Council is one of the top performing local authorities in the country is a major boost for the Banner County.
The study, by Ipsos MRBI for the National Oversight & Audit Commission, looked at 10 medium-sized councils across the country.
Overall, 69% of people across the county said they were satisfied with how Clare County Council is performing, with 60% agreeing that the council promotes economic activity.
43% were satisfied with the council’s openness and transparency, with 40% saying the local authority provides good for value for money.
