Masks And Covid Certs Won’t Cost Much Says Midwest ICU Consultant As System Comes Under Pressure

The Head of the ICU at the region’s main hospital believes says measures such as wearing masks and the use of covid certs in certain settings won’t cost us much.

It comes amid mounting pressure on hospital ICUs, with 72 covid patients in intensive care this morning, 7 of those at University Hospital Limerick.

The INMO has said that ICU beds are currently like “gold dust” with the nurses union raising concern about the further easing of restrictions.
