A former President will today be named an honorary patron of the Michael Cusack Centre in Carron.
Dr Mary McAleese last visited the birthplace of the founder of the GAA in June 2023 to unveil a bronze bust of Cusack.

She will depart the centre at 3pm and in doing so will become the inaugural passenger of the Burren Explorer Shuttle Bus, which launches today and will connect towns and villages in North Clare to the Burren and Cliffs of Moher free of charge.
Speaking on the Late Late Show last year, Dr McAleese says it’s an extremely special place.
