The former leader of Sinn Féin in Northern Ireland Martin McGuinness has been nominated for the Tipperary Peace Prize.
He joins five other contenders including the human rights lawyer Amal Clooney.
The winner will be announced in the coming weeks.
Mrs McGuinness resigned as the North's Deputy First Minister amid concerns over his health in recent weeks.
