Deputy McNamara has lost his places on the Health and Agricultural Committees weeks after he was expelled from the Labour parliamentary party for voting against the Government on the sale of Aer Lingus.

That decision will be formally voted on today, but Micheál Martin says his party will vote against it because it goes against government promises of parliamentary reform.

Speaking in Dáil, Deputy Martin said the move is out-dated.
