March confirmed as one of the coldest on record.

March was one of the the coldest, driest and dullest month on record here in Clare.

Met Éireann’s issued a review of the month, which show that Shannon Airport reported it’s coldest March in 58 years.

Last month was also the driest March here since 1950, with just a third of the average rainfall for this time of the year.

However, March was also the dullest here since 2006.
