The Ennis-based Chief Executive of FASD Ireland insists too many women are drinking alcohol through pregnancy.
It comes following the launch of the country’s first national hub to support those living with Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder in the county town.

FASD is the country’s most prevalent neuro-developmental disability, with an estimated 240,000 people across Ireland living with the condition.
The most recent HSE figures show 82% of women here are drinking alcohol through pregnancy and Tristan Casson-Rennie says it can have serious consequences.
