A man's body was recovered from the sea near the Cliffs of Moher last evening.

Searches began on Monday night after a man was seen falling from the Cliffs, but he could not be safely recovered so searches resumed yesterday.
The Doolin Coast Guard and rescue helicopters had been involved in the operation and the body was recovered at around 6:30, and taken to University Hospital Limerick for a post-mortem exam
