A Garda investigation is underway after a man walking on Toler Street in Kilrush was approach by another man wearing dark clothing.
The man knocked him into the bushes, stole a sum of money from him and made his escape from the area on foot.

The incident happened shortly after midnight on Saturday.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the incident or anyone with dash cam footage to contact Kilrush Garda Station on 065 908 0550.
