A man has been rescued from the River Shannon after spending over 30 minutes in the water.
The Killaloe Coast Guard Unit was tasked to the scene near Two Mie Gate last evening, to reports that two people were in the water with a sinking jet ski.
When they arrived, one man was still in the river along with the jet ski – he had been there for half an hour before the alarm was raised.
The jet ski was towed to Two Mile Gate and the man was safely taken from the water, and did not need medical assistance.
