A man has been rescued after falling from scaffolding at the Irish Cement Factory in Limerick.
Emergency services were dispatched to the Mungret factory shortly after 10 o’clock this morning, after a man who had been working on a large silo fell from a ladder.

The Limerick Leader reports that a large rescue operation was mounted involving specially trained firefighters, due to the height of the 120 metre high silo.
They worked with HSE paramedics and Irish Cement workers to rescue the man who was knocked unconscious following the fall – his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
