A man has been rescued after his boat capsized in Galway Bay.
The alarm was raised shortly before 1 o’clock following the incident off Hare Island.
He was rescued by the Galway RNLI lifeboat crew a short time later as he was swimming towards the shore.

The man was brought to the lifeboat station where first aid was administered and he didn’t need to be hospitalised.
His 15 foot vessel was later towed back to Galway Docks.
