Man Released Without Charge In Connection With Murder of Gerard Donnelly

A 20 year old man, arrested yesterday in connection with the death of a man whose body was found in the Phoenix Park last November, has been released without charge.

Gerard Donnelly's burned body was found inside a sleeping bag, a post mortem later revealed he was alive when it was set alight.

Mr Donnelly was laid to rest with his late father in Kildysart last December , while his mother is also a West Clare native. 

This was the fourth arrest in connection with the investigation.

27-year-old Ciaran Moran with an address at Camden Hall, Camden Street has already been charged with murder.
