Man Released After Being Questioned In Connection With Limerick Stabbing

A man being questioned in connection with an attack on a woman in Limerick has been released from Garda custody.

The incident happened at a home in Hassetts Villas in the Thomondgate area in the early hours of yesterday morning.

A 37-year-old old woman was found with suspected stab wounds – she remains in a critical condition at University Hospital Limerick. 

A man detained in relation to the incident has been released without charge and a file is being prepared for the DPP.
