An investigation has been launched following the death of a man in a mine in Co. Tipperary.

The incident occurred at Lisheen Mine, which is located between the village of Moyne and Templetouhy, before five o’clock yesterday evening.
It’s understood the driver of a loader was found trapped under a rockfall in the mine, and was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene a short while later. No one else was injured.
