Man injured in West Clare Dog Attack

A man’s recovering after yet another vicious dog attack in Clare- the fourth in the past year.

Clare’s Dog Warden Frankie Coote was called to the scene at a house in Leitrim in Kilmihil at around 9.30 last night.

Its understood the man and his wife were fostering two dogs and one of them – a Husky type bred Chow Chow – turned on him as he went out to feed both animals.

He suffered over 30 bite marks on his arms and body and had to receive hospital treatment.

The dog was removed to Ennis Dog Pound to be put down.
