A 54 year old man remains in a serious condition in hospital this morning after he was shot while walking his dog in north Dublin last night.

It happened on the Killala Road in Cabra at around half past seven.
Convicted criminal David Douglas was shot a number of times at close range after a car pulled up alongside him.
Conor Feehan – Chief Reporter with The Herald – says Gardai are looking for the car and are unclear about the motive for the attack – but he says Douglas was jailed in 2009 for a drug conviction.
