An Investigation's been launched following an alleged serious assault in Kilrush.
A man said to be in his early forties suffered serious but non life threatening injuries in the incident on Pella road at about 4 o'clock this morning.

Two men in their 20s were arrested at the scene – they are being detained at Kilrush Garda station.
Crime Scene Investigators are currently examining the house and surrounding area – at this stage it's not known if a weapon was used in the incident.
