Man Hospitalised After Tipperary Crash

A man in his mid-40s is in hospital after being knocked down on the Nenagh/Killaloe road in County Tipperary.

He suffered serious leg injuries when he was hit by a 4×4 vehicle at Newtown in Nenagh in the early hours of the morning.

The man’s been taken to University Hospital Limerick and a stretch of the R494 between Newtown and Portroe is closed as a result of the incident.
