Gardaí are questioning a man in connection with the alleged abduction of Kevin McGeever from his home in Craughwell last year.
The 68 year old was detained in the Gort area yesterday evening and is being held on suspicion of making a report that waste garda time.

Kevin McGeever was found wandering barefoot -in a dishevelled and disoriented state in the Ballinamore area of County Leitrim in January.
His partner had reported him missing last May – Mr McGeever claimed to have been kidnapped from his home in Craughwell that month and said he was held in a container for eight months and beaten.
He was taken for treatment to the regional hospital in Mullingar but left before giving a full account to gardaí of what had occurred to him.
