A man in his twenties is due in court today, in connection with an aggravated burglary in Co. Galway last weekend.

A lone raider broke into a house in Ballinasloe in the early hours of Saturday morning and assaulted an 80 year old man who lived there, before bringing the pensioner to a nearby ATM, where he was forced to withdraw and hand over cash.
The accused is due before Harristown District Court later today.
