Two separate investigations have been launched following the death of of man on a farm in West Clare.
Emergency services were alerted around 7 o'clock yesterday evening after a man was injured in an accident involving machinery while working on his farm in Shragh, Doonbeg.
The man, who was in his early fifties, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body was later transferred to University Hospital Limerick where a post-mortem examination is due to be carried out later today.
Gardaí and the Health and Safety Authority are investigating the circumstances surrounding the man's death.
