A man has died following a two-vehicle collision in Co. Limerick this morning.

The incident occured shortly after 7 o’clock on the R523 at Carrickerry, AtheA.
The 63-year-old driver of one of the vehicles was pronounced dead at the scene, and a post mortem examination will be carried out at Limerick Regional Hospital this afternoon.
The driver of the other vehicle, a 33 year old man, has been taken to the hospital with what Gardai say are non-life threatening injuries.
The road is currently closed and Gardai in Newcastle West are investigating.
