A man at Dublin's Mountjoy Prison has died after falling ill in his cell in the early hours of this morning.

The man in his early 30's was found unconscious in his cell at around 3:30am.
He was then taken to nearby Mater Hospital but died a short time later.
The Irish Prison Service and Gardai are investigating the death.
