A man has been killed in a road traffic collision in County Limerick in the early hours of this morning.

The 44-year-old was crossing the main street in Hospital around 2.15 am when he was hit by a car.
Emergency services including gardai, ambulance and Limerick County Fire Service were called, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body was taken to University Hospital Limerick where a post mortem will take place later this morning.
The road is closed pending a garda forensic examination and diversions are in place.
