A man has died in a house fire in Cork City.
Emergency services were called to a property at Dillon's Cross in Mayfield at about 4.30 this morning.
The remains of a man were recovered from the scene and removed to Cork University Hospital where a post mortem will be carried out.
The scene has been preserved for a technical examination – no one else was injured in the blaze.
