A 55 year old man has died from injures sustained in a workplace accident in Cork earlier this week.

Billy Tubritt, a roofer from Co Wexford was seriously injured when he fell from a ladder while working on a storage shed at the CIT Sports Grounds around 10am on Monday.
He underwent emergency surgery at Cork University Hospital but lost his battle for life last night.
Gardai and the Health and Safety Authority are investigating.
It brings to ten the number of fatalities in the construction industry this year.
