A 54 year old man has been injured in a shooting in Limerick.
It happened at around 7 o'clock this morning on the grounds of the University of Limerick Campus.

He's being treated for his injuries at University Hospital Limerick, and Gardaí say he's understood to be in a critical condition.
The scene has been sealed off for a technical examination.
A car which was found burned out a short distance away is being forensically examined by Gardaí.
It's understood the victim was known to Gardaí.
